School Techniques (Kakita Bushi)

Rank 1 The Way of The Crane May substitute Iaijutsu for Kenjutsu at any time. Add double Iaijutsu to Initiative. You may focus one additional time during and Iaijutsu duel
Rank 2 The Sudden Strike For every 10 points that your initiative exceeds your opponents you gain 1 Free Raise. During an Iaijutsu duel you can focus an additional times equal to the difference in your honor rank. You may add your Fire ring to your attack rolls.
Rank 3 Strike from the void Gain additional void in a duel equal to honor. Opponents that are struck by you that are lower in initiative suffer a +10 penalty in their next attack against you.
Rank 4 One Strike, Two Cuts With one pure strike, the advanced student of Kakita’s technique cuts his opponent twice. You may make an additional attack per round and add twice your Fire Ring to all attack Rolls.
Rank 5 Strike with no Thought First attack each round rolls and keeps an additional die of damage for every 10 points by which your initiative exceeds your opponent’s. When engaged in an iaijutsu duel, you make make a contested void roll against your opponent. If you succeed, you may limit the number of statistics your opponent learns about you during a duel for every 5 points your roll exceeds your opponent.

Kenku Swordsman

Rank 1 Wing of Thunder After rolling initiative, you add a bonus equal to twice your Kenjutsu or Iaijutsu rank (whichever you are using). If your Initiative score is higher then your opponent’s you gain a +1k0 to your attack roll for each 5 points by which yours exceeds his. You also add your Air Ring to the total of all your attack rolls made with a Katana.

Rank 3 Kakita’s Technique The Kenshinzen is so unimaginably fast that he can strike all of his opponents at once. You may forego all of your normal attacks in a combat round to instead deliver a single attack to every enemy within 5’ of you in that round. you make make a single attack roll for this special maneuver, and compare it to each opponents TN to be hit. Thus, it is possible to strike some opponents while missing others. You may make Raises on this attack. Additionally, you may add twice your Honor Rank to the total of your Initiative roll, replacing the benefit from Rank 1.
